Virginia Woolf Limited Edition Virginia Woolf was undeniably one of the most important female authors of the 20th Century. Her opposition to Victorian aesthetics and her radical renunciation of literary tradition made her works the forerunner to many modern classics. Montblanc has created the Virginia Woolf Writers Edition in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the publication of The Waves. The graceful contours of the black, epoxy resin barrel features a guilloche pattern of finely engraved waves in tribute to the author’s ground-breaking novel as well as the Woolf’s unsettled life. The gold-plated clip with a faceted ruby arches over the cap with an ivory colored Montblanc star while her signature is engraved on the front or back sections. The 18kt gold nib depicts the two elms on the Woolf estate which signify her last resting place. Only 12,000 fountain pens and 14,000 ballpens are available worldwide.
